This app would be beneficial for students in classes such as medical terminology, medical science, biology, anatomy and physiology, etc. This is a great tool, you can search a question and get answers within a second. This app is a great educational tool!

Edu. App. #7

This week on iTunes free apps for education, I found an app called Quizlet. I have used this app before, and I love it! You can create your own set of flashcards either on an iTouch, iPad, iPhone, or any internet browser. I think this is a great way for students of all ages to study. Also a instructor can create a set of flashcards and open it up so students can find the instructors set. This is a great app for students to use outside of the classroom.

Edu. App #6

This week I found an app called Ansel & Clair: Paul Revere's Ride. This app was recently released.  When kids were asked to respond why they thought it was a good way to learn, the responses were, “Because it teaches important history stuff in a fun to play way.” Or, the let me get right to the point comment, “Made boring history fun.” I think this is a great app to incorporate history into a fun playful way.

Edu App #5

For this weeks podcast I found an educational app called Native Numbers. This game provides provides a deeper understanding of number concepts and imperative math vocabulary, which is needed to build a strong foundation for all mathematics to follow. Starting early is by far the best way to achieve this. Research has shown over and over that children that have a solid and deep exposure to basic number concepts have the ability to learn and understand math skills later.

They have words in English, French, German, and Japanese. You can listen to how the word is correctly said. It gives you the definition and examples of the word in different sentences. This app is rated 4 1/2 stars, and is only 99 cents. I think this is a great tool to increase vocabulary for any individual.
